Item Description

"Miss Kitty Twinkle Star" is a new story based on Dollzone's hugely popular doll "Miss Kitty," with the theme of "a mysterious black cat striding gracefully under the night sky."
The fantastical, story-like appearance has been brought to life as a three-dimensional figure by artists who are responsible for the illustrations, sculptures, and coloring.

✦ Miss Kitty Twinkle Star Dreaming Merry-go-round Art Figure Special Site ✦

In order to bring to life the captivating design of "Miss Kitty Twinkle Star" as a figure with a unique worldview, we enlisted the help of three talented and popular artists from various fields.

✦ Original illustration (drawn by Nekosuke)
First, we asked Nekosuke, a popular illustrator known for his dark, fairytale-like worldview, to create an original illustration that could be considered a blueprint for the figure.
The world of Miss Kitty Twinkle Star, a black cat striding through the night sky, is expressed through colorful yet nostalgic motifs such as merry-go-rounds, ribbons, and butterflies, as well as colors that evoke the quiet night sky.

✦ Prototype production: Mr. Peipei (佩佩)
To create a three-dimensional figurine based on Nekosuke's illustration, we asked Peipei, who has worked on sculpting works by famous artists both in Japan and abroad, to create the 3D prototype model.
Peipei's delicate sensibility, technical ability, and high-resolution imagination allowed him to create a stunning prototype with highly accurate modeling, even down to the back of Nekosuke's fantastical illustration.

✦ Coloring: Mamoru
For this work, based on the delicate and high-density 3D prototype data created by Peipei, mamoru was in charge of coloring, carefully interpreting Nekosuke's illustration and the fantastical and somewhat mystical worldview of Miss Kitty. Rather than simply applying color, the color design was done with an awareness of the atmosphere and narrative of the illustration.
Without losing the charm of the flat illustration, it has been elevated to a sculptural expression that allows you to feel the worldview even when you actually hold it in your hands.
